Full Circle

It's almost been a year since I moved back to the UK from a few years living abroad in the UAE (Dubai to be exact). It feels like I've just gone "Full Circle", as I've moved back near friends and family upon my return. It's an odd feeling, but it now feels like I've never left.

The people I met over there and the experiences I had have changed me forever, though. Travelling around the most of Asia during this period opened my eyes more than I ever thought it would. Before the move, I'd not travelled that much, and was strictly a "holiday in Spain" kinda guy (thanks mom and dad) but now, all I wanna do is get back to exploring the world (especially after the last 2 years we've all had!).

Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi, The World Islands, the trip up to the top of Jebel Jais (UAE's highest mountain) in the Mustang, Sole DXB and Pickl (the best burger in Dubai hands down) are some of the things that are personal highlights of my time living in Dubai.

Even the short time we had with our putty tat - Max (the Siamese) will be looked back on fondly. He was a top lad, but he sadly only lived a couple of months due to him being a poorly chap when we rescued him. There's just too many other things to mention plus things I can't actually remember right now, but the 1000's of photos I have will be a reminder for the rest of my life.

I don't really know what the point of this post is meant to be, but does it need to have one? I guess not.

I guess all I really wanna say is that even though our circumstances may be the same as they were a few years ago, it's important that we take a step back and remember how far we've actually come. Be that personally, professionally or even both.

Live, laugh, love xoxo
